Davis’ powerful debut album; “Dog Bites Back”, debuted at #6 in the Billboard Blues Charts and was praised by Downbeat Magazine who stated “Dyer Davis brings new immediacy to blues and blues-rock by singing as if he were probing a deep recess within him.
